Summer Enrichment

Specialized One-to-One, multi-sensory instruction using the most trusted systems in education - Wilson Reading System and Orton-Gillingham Approach. While vital for those with dyslexia, these methods also boost confidence, spelling, and writing for non-dyslexic learners.

Sessions - June 15th - August 21st, 2026

2-3 times per week, 1 hour private sessions

Various locations including: Newport News, Yorktown, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, and Williamsburg

Cursive Camp

Our Cursive Camp is an inclusive space where all students—including those with dyslexia—can find their flow. We use cursive’s unique, connected strokes to end letter reversals and sharpen memory, focus, and hand-eye coordination. This sensory-rich program is designed to boost brain power and confidence, making it the ultimate summer "brain-drain" prevention!

Session 1 - June 16th - July 16th, 2026

Session 2 - July 21st - August 20th, 2026

Two times per week, 1 hour small group session (4-6 students) *Choose one or both sessions. Cost - $325.00 per session

  • Beginner Level - Grades 2-3

  • Advanced Level - Grades 4-6

Location - HRDC Main Office
